Stone for Dharwad-Bangalore Vande Bharat train
The incident of miscreants pelting stones at the Dharwad-Bangalore Vande Bharat train, which started four days ago, took place behind GMIT on the outskirts of Davangere city.
Some miscreants pelted stones at a moving Vande Bharat train behind GMIT College in Davangere Horavayala on Saturday, as a result of which the window glass of the Vande Bharat Express was shattered. It is learned that the incident took place when the train was traveling from Dharwad to Bangalore.
Officials of South Western Railway have reported the incident to the RPF personnel and directed an inquiry into the incident. Fortunately, there was no loss of life due to stone pelting. A case has been registered in this regard at the Railway RPA station.
In the past too, stones were pelted on the Vande Bharat train at many places in Hosdurga, Holalkere, Chikkajajaru between Davangere and Araseikere. The railway department expressed regret about this. In this regard, the Bangalore Railway Divisional Office had warned that a non-bailable case would be registered against them if they damaged the property related to the department.
